Walls

Walls. Walls of houses. Walls of buildings. Walls of factories. Walls of city outskirts and of historic centres. Within the walls is life, and on top of that news of the day, if not, sometimes, history… Walls speak. They tell us about today and yesterday, stories imbued with mystery but that can also be read like an open book. They often need to be photographed “on the hoof”: today they are there, tomorrow they can disappear under the pressure of events… Taking photographs of walls is not working with a tripod, but it is the work of a reporter. (Franco Loi)

In the series Walls we find Mondrian, Pop Art, Dadaist collages, paintings and humble arts. Everything is imbued with the personality of Giulio Obici and the wide divergence of his work. (Renato Corsini)
