Linked to Henri Cartier-Bresson’s vision of photography, Obici discovers geometries and balances, tonal contrasts and play of lines in the multiplicity of forms of reality, which transform the natural and artificial landscape into an abstract painting.
The photography of Obici has its origins in the surrealism of non-sense, the association of ideas, playing on the unconscious. “Flaneur detective” (strolling detective), venetian, ironic and cultured, Obici observes reality while searching for unexpected connections, for a return of memories, broken fragments, moments that recall the past, and a multitude of associations and narrations.
