Proclamation

A journalist who is very aware of the undercurrents in the world in which he lives, a photographer with a taste for surrealism and capable to pick out the ironies and rich allusions with regard to reality, Obici discovers in the graffiti on the walls the humour of an era. He puts together a chronological list of mottos, slogans, outbursts, declarations of love and political proclamations. In all it shows a certain atmosphere and feeling and becomes a story. (Tatiana Agliani)

Apart from his journalistic writings with the emphasis on rigorous investigating and wanting to tell a story about human events, Obici discovers over time the spiritual worth of photography. This turns into an overview or a reading of the town, covered in anonymous writings on the walls and publicity boards and visible analysis of shapes within the natural landscape, all part of a constructive equilibrium and the study of light. (Giampietro Guidotto)
